I am writing to you today as a Director of Children and Youth Programs and Services for North10, Philadelphia, in strong support of the KB Foundation programs.
North10, Philadelphia’s youth program has partnered with the KB Foundation for the past 2 years to provide Life Skills and College/Career Development programming to our youth. During this time, the KB Foundation has provided excellent programming that has allowed our youth to develop and grow. Youth have been exposed to various Career Exposure Workshops where they are able to get “hands-on” experience, ask questions, and learn from entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
The KB Foundation has also offered our youth opportunities to attend their monthly Lunch and Learn events, where youth visit local businesses and learn from business leaders themselves. We have also been provided with the opportunity to send youth to their P.O.W.E.R. Boys Summer Mentoring Camp.
Since beginning our partnership with the KB Foundation, we have seen positive changes in our youth. Our youth look forward to their weekly workshops and have become more engaged in programming. They are gaining a more adaptive mindset and have a positive outlook on their future. There has been a decrease in negative behaviors and an increase in self-management and a positive program culture.
Sincerely,
Denise Matza
