Philadelphia students return from educational trip of a lifetime to South Africa

Eight young women from the KB Foundation are back home in West Philadelphia after what they describe as the trip of a lifetime to Cape Town, South Africa.
The girls said they were excited to share the unforgettable moments from their journey, from seeing wildlife up close on safari to visiting historic landmarks that deepened their understanding of the world.

After weeks of community support, the Philadelphia-based KB Foundation has officially reached its fundraising goal to send eight women on the trip of a lifetime.
The foundation raised more than $25,000 to send the girls to South Africa on the first all-girls trip in the foundation's history.

A Philadelphia foundation is preparing to take young leaders from local schools to the global stage.
The KB Foundation is returning to South Africa, and for the first time, a cohort of young women will participate in its "LEAP" experience.
For years, the foundation has taken young men to Cape Town, exposing them to culture, history and opportunity while introducing them to global commerce and international trade.
