2025
Impact Report
A Message from the President: Building a Legacy Together
To our valued stakeholders, partners, and community,
Reflecting on 2025, I am inspired by the depth of growth we’ve seen in our youth. This was a year defined by holistic learning. Our Lunch & Learn trips became more than just workshops; they were transformative spaces where students tackled the complexities of the modern world. Whether they were exploring the nuances of Real Estate and the Stock Market, mastering the basics of Coding, or finding their creative voices through Marketing and Graphic Design, our participants proved that they are ready to lead in any arena.
But our impact wasn’t limited to technical skills. We leaned heavily into the “soft” skills that build character. Through lessons in Conflict Resolution, Peer Mediation, and Mental Health awareness, we provided our youth with the tools to navigate life’s challenges with grace and self-control. This progress belongs to all of us—our tireless staff, our dedicated mentors, and you, our supporters.
Looking Toward 2027: A Decade of Service
In 2027, the KB Foundation will celebrate 10 years of service. Since our founding in 2017, we have evolved from a small mentoring circle into a comprehensive engine for community-centered impact.
We view this upcoming tenth anniversary not merely as a celebration of the past, but as a launchpad for our future. We are entering our second decade with greater clarity and capacity. The success of our curriculum—ranging from Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy to Nutrition and Culinary Arts—confirms that we have the right blueprint to empower the next generation.
Our Vision for the Next Decade
As we look toward the next ten years, our roadmap focuses on:
Deepening Our Reach: Expanding high-impact initiatives like our Summer Enrichment Camp and STEM programs to reach more individuals with long-term, sustainable solutions.
Investing in Innovation: Using data to refine our lessons in Life Skills and Communication, ensuring we stay ahead of our youth’s evolving needs.
Strengthening Infrastructure: Building a resilient organizational foundation to ensure our work continues to thrive for decades to come.
Grounding in Community: Staying responsive to local needs—from our holiday Turkey Drive to our Christmas Giveaway—while building strategic partnerships that amplify our reach.
An Invitation to Shape the Future
I invite you to help us shape the next chapter of the KB Foundation. As we prepare for our 10-year celebration, we are looking for partners and donors to stand with us. This is an opportunity to be part of a legacy that will define the next decade of impact for our community’s future leaders.
With Gratitude and Optimism
Thank you for your unwavering trust. From the first lesson in Self-Control to the final Entrepreneurship workshop of the year, your support makes this transformation possible. I am more confident than ever in what we can achieve together over the next 10 years.
In Service,
Kirk Berry

Youth Enrichment Camp 2025 Highlight
In 2025, The KB Foundation Inc. achieved a major milestone by successfully launching our first-ever eight-week summer day camp in Norristown, Pennsylvania, serving middle school youth in the community. This initiative marked one of the most ambitious and transformative programs in our organization’s history.
Designed with a strong educational foundation, the camp centered on hands-on learning in Robotics and Bioprocessing STEM, introducing students to high-demand, future-focused career pathways. Campers engaged in interactive, project-based activities that strengthened critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills—while building confidence in science and technology.
To ensure students were supported holistically, the Foundation provided both breakfast and lunch daily, removing barriers to participation and reinforcing our commitment to student well-being.
Beyond the classroom, campers participated in weekly swimming activities and enriching field trips that expanded their exposure to culture, science, and new experiences. Highlights included:
A Philadelphia Phillies baseball game
The Franklin Institute
The National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
The Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey
These experiences broadened students’ horizons while reinforcing educational concepts in real-world settings.
Successfully executing an eight-week program of this scale required extensive planning, strong partnerships, and dedicated staff leadership. We are especially proud that the camp was delivered safely, efficiently, and with overwhelmingly positive feedback from families and participants.
Program evaluations show significant gains in student engagement, STEM interest, and overall satisfaction. Parents reported increased enthusiasm for learning, improved social skills, and greater confidence in their children’s academic abilities.
The launch of our inaugural summer day camp represents more than a program—it represents expanded opportunity, equitable access to STEM education, and our deep commitment to empowering youth in Norristown. This achievement has set a strong foundation for future growth and continued community impact.
2025 Highlight
Lunch & Learn Industry Immersion at Electronic Arts – Orlando, FL
In May 2025, The KB Foundation Inc. provided 28 high school young men with a transformative two-day educational immersion in Orlando, Florida, focused on careers in the video game industry. Through direct exposure to higher education pathways and industry leadership, this Lunch & Learn experience expanded participants’ understanding of what is possible beyond high school.
The journey began with a half-day visit to University of Central Florida, where students learned about the requirements to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media through the Game Design Track. Faculty and staff outlined academic expectations, portfolio development, and the importance of technical and creative skill-building at the undergraduate level.
The group then visited the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), gaining firsthand insight into a graduate-level game development environment. Students observed advanced production studios, collaborative design spaces, and learned how storytelling, coding, art, and business intersect in professional game creation.
The second day was spent at Electronic Arts (EA) in Orlando, where participants engaged directly with industry professionals. The highlight of the visit was a deep dive into the development of Madden NFL, one of the most recognized sports gaming franchises in the world. Students explored the creative, technical, and business components behind bringing a major title to market.
To conclude the experience, participants competed in a business pitch challenge, presenting innovative ideas for enhancing gameplay and customer experience within Madden. This activity strengthened public speaking skills, teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking—while allowing students to see themselves as contributors to the future of the industry.
Post-trip reflections from participants demonstrate the powerful impact of the experience. Students reported increased motivation to pursue college, clearer understanding of academic pathways in digital media and game design, and a stronger belief that careers in technology and entertainment are attainable goals.
This Lunch & Learn immersion exemplifies The KB Foundation’s commitment to exposure, mentorship, and access. By connecting young men directly with university leaders and industry professionals, we continue to expand career horizons and equip students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue high-growth STEM and creative technology pathways.
