Letter from Dr. Manav Segal

One of the most rewarding aspects of my involvement with the KB Foundation has been my participation in the KB Foundation’s “My Buddy Reading Program.” Over the past few months, I have worked one-on-one with a mentee, meeting every 2–3 weeks to improve his reading skills. This program has been transformative for both of us. Watching his confidence and abilities grow has been immensely gratifying, and the process has also enriched my own life. Together, we have explored new books and topics, fostering a shared love of learning that continues to inspire me.

What I value most about the KB Foundation is the sense of community it fosters. The opportunity to interact with this community’s youth and witness their growth has been profoundly rewarding. Equally meaningful has been the chance to build friendships and connections with fellow mentors. The diverse backgrounds of the mentors, united by a shared commitment to making a difference, have created a supportive and inspiring network that I am honored to be a part of.

Being involved with the KB Foundation has allowed me to give back to my community, build meaningful relationships, and continue growing as a mentor, a professional, and an individual. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an impactful organization and look forward to continuing this journey.
